S. Lester Levy

S. Lester Levy was one of the oldest practicing lawyers in the state at the time of his death, February 15, 1976, at the age of 88. Mr. Levy came to Wilmington in 1890 from Auburn, N.Y. He was educated at Wilmington Friends School, at Yale University and at Oxford University in England as a Rhodes Scholar. After World War I he became associated with the Wilmington law firm of Josiah Marvel, and later form his own firm. He was a member and past president of Congregation Beth Emeth and was a founder of Beth Emeth Memorial Park.
