Dear Mollye,

I can’t help but say that I read a very wonderful letter in the “Recorder” that I received today. It as written by George Samuels and as we say in the Navy for anything perfect, it is “4.0” – truly a letter that was very carefully composed. He brought out everything that anyone would want to know about our “Y!” — and every word is the truth. I, as well as everyone of us fellows are hoping on hope that all these things will be ours to enjoy very soon.

His letter brought back very pleasant memories of past years spent at the “Y,” and Mollye, I’m always thinking of the mighty swell  times that I’ve had under the roof at 515 French St., and I know that those days and nights will come back for us again.

Things with me are about the same. It is almost the end of another month and on the last day I have to take inventory of every item in my Ship’s Stores. That really keeps me busy – and also working on the figures and books takes a little time – but it’s not so bad.

Many thanks for the “Recorder” – I’m looking forward to receiving some more. Remember me to Mr. Sollod, Sonny and everyone connected with the “Y.”

Best Regards,

Marvin B. Barshay
