Roxana Arsht Interview

Honorable Roxana Cannon Arsht

Roxana Cannon Arsht became the first female judge in Delaware in 1971 and continued as the only female judge until her retirement in 1983. She was inducted into the Hall of Fame of Delaware Women in 1986. When she became a member of the Delaware bar in 1941, Arsht was the fifth female attorney. Throughout the 1960s, she served as a full-time master in Family Court without pay.
