I.B. Finkelstein interview

Title

I.B. Finkelstein interview

Subject

Isaac Bernard Finkelstein (Born in 1884, New York City, New York)
Isaac Bernard Finkelstein devoted so much of his time to social welfare, cultural, and civic movements that he seemed to think of business as a sideline. Although he was president of the Delaware Hardware Company, Finkelstein served as active president of nearly two dozen Delaware agencies. He was president of the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce three times, founder of the Delaware Festival of the Arts, chairman of the Wilmington Housing Authority, and president of the Jewish Federation of Delaware, the Jewish community’s central fund-raising and planning organization. He received the Josiah Marvel Cup from the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce for outstanding civic leadership and the B’nai B’rith Americanism Award for bolstering democracy and the American way of life.
