Chazz Salkin, retired director of Delaware state parks, has discovered a nearly-forgotten settlement of Jewish immigrants, starting in the 1870s, who found their way to Laurel, Delaware.
Chazz is an active member of the Jewish Historical Society of Delaware’s board and is noted for his in-depth research into the Jewish families who settled on farms in Kent County in the early 20th century with assistance from the Jewish Agricultural Society.
