Later Work: In his obituary, his son Norman stated that his father worked at Wilmington Dry Goods for 31 years and retired in 1968, when he began working at 'Norm Gershman’s Things to Wear' store in Rehoboth.” “Mr. Gershman and his son … opened the family business in Rehoboth Beach in 1966. The discount store offers brand-name men’s, women’s and children’s clothing. A second store opened in Newark in 1969, and a third on Wilmington’s Market Street Mall in 1985.” The article goes on to state that, “He was a member of Montefiore Mutual Benefit Society, Lafayette Lodge, AF&AM and Delaware Consistory, all in Wilmington. Temple Beth El, Newark, and Nur Temple Shrine, New Castle.” [13]
